21 March 2016

Back our stars of the future at Hayes Lane

A very youthful Millwall U21s side return to Professional Development League 2 action on Monday afternoon when they host Sheffield United at Bromley FC's Hayes Lane ground (1pm).

With regulars such as Alfie Pavey, Jack Powell, Keaton Wood, Tom King and Noah Chesmain all gaining valuable experience away on loan, a number of Millwall U18s have stepped up a level and will be featuring for the U21s.

The likes of Lewis White, Ronnie O'Donnell and Rian Bray could all be involved at some stage against Sheffield, whilst striker Jamie Philpot is the only player in Justin Skinner's young squad to have played for the senior side.

Skinner's charges go into action unbeaten in League action since 13th October when Huddersfield Town secured a 2-0 away win.

Since then, Millwall have won nine and drawn five of their last 15 games in all competitions. Their only loss came at the hands of Premier League side Hull City in the League Cup Quarter Finals.

The young Lions last outing was against table-topping Charlton Athletic which finished with honours even following a 0-0 draw.

Admission this afternoon is £5 adults and £1 U16s. All are welcome.

Millwall: Girling, Brown, Swift, Donovan, Parr, Mbulu, Farrell, Twardek, Philpot, Ndjoli, Eze, Fitzgerald, Sandford, O'Donnell, L.White, Bray.
