Tribute to paramedic Brian Hayes

10 March 2016

Den regular will be sadly missed

Many Millwall fans have phoned and sent in tributes to the club following the death of London Ambulance Service Clinical Team Leader, Brian Hayes.

Brian died after a sudden illness at Waterloo ambulance station on Sunday 6th March.

Brian joined the Service in 2001 and was a regular member of the 'pitch crew' at The Den for well over a decade, where he made many friends amongst staff and supporters alike.

Paramedic Brian also played a key role during the Olympic Games as a manager at the Ambulance Service’s Olympic Deployment Centre.
Most recently he worked as a clinical team leader in the Cycle Response Unit.

LAS Chief Executive Dr Fionna Moore spoke for us all when she said: "Brian was a big personality and will be sadly missed by all those who knew him."

Our thoughts are with Brian's wife and children at this difficult time.

A full tribute will appear in the Sheffield United programme.
