Full-time from Calmont Road
Millwall slipped to a second successive home defeat as first-half goals from Dan Smith and Ron Hendricks secured a 2-0 win for Coventry City at the weekend.
The Lions had a fair amount of chances in the opening half but were unable to capitalise and instead found themselves trailing at the break.
In the opening stages, Millwall's Matt Day was inches away from connecting with an inviting Alex Mulrooney-Skinner cross for the home side and then Lewis White saw his effort drift over the bar, as did Eze Ebuzoeme with another early strike.
However the Sky Blues forged ahead on 23 minutes with a neat finish from Smith and then doubled their tally one minute before half-time through Hendricks just seconds after The Lions had a penalty appeal turned down.
Millwall kept plugging away in the second-half in a bid to get a foothold back in the game.
Noel Leighton forced a corner and from the resulting set play hoisted his shot over the City bar.
Minutes later Leighton connected well with a Mulrooney-Skinner cross but unfortunately sent his drive straight into the arms of goalkeeper Skuza.
Lewis White then sliced a shot wide from Junior Tiensa's cross, Mulrooney-Skinner saw his goalbound strike pushed over and defender Ronnie O'Donnell fired narrowly off target, but still the ball would not find a way into the net.
A driving run into the City box by Tiensa was thwarted just as he was about to pull the trigger and seconds before the final whistle the visitors managed to clear again following an almighty goalmouth scramble to deny Millwall at least a consolation goal.
