The boss provides his post-match assessment
Neil Harris described Millwall's performance as 'outstanding' as The Lions battled to a 1-0 victory over Sheffield United at The Den on Saturday afternoon.
The winning goal came inside two minutes when Chris Taylor, in his first appearance since rejoining the club earlier this week, slotted home from Steve Morison's low cross.
The Blades saw plenty of the ball in SE16 but could do little to break down a stubborn Millwall defence and Harris, whose side face fellow promotion hopefuls Bradford and Burton Albion next up, was over the moon during his post-match press duties.
"That victory, for me, was all about team spirit," he said.
"I'm delighted because the performance that the boys put in today was outstanding.
"At this stage of the season it is just about doing what you can to win games. Every point is so hard to earn and we really had to dig in today to get that win.
"I'm delighted for Chris Taylor that he got the goal. His display epitomised all that was good about our performance today.
"The early goal gave the crowd a big lift and they made a huge difference for us all the way through the game. The atmosphere was great for the players and they will want to taste more of that between now and the end of the season.
"If I had to be critical, with some of the chances we had we should have been out of sight by half-time and in the second-half we could of used the ball better. But overall the lads really deserved that win, which is one of our biggest of the season.
"It sets us up for what is a very important double header next weekend."
