Away day routes confirmed for next term
Millwall will cover 6,464 miles travelling to and from away games during the 2016/17 campaign.
AFC Wimbledon's promotion from League Two in Monday's Play-Off Final has confirmed the club's list of 23 opponents for the new season, which will see The Lions cover 1,122 miles fewer than the campaign just ended - the equivalent of travelling from London to Morocco!
Local rivals Charlton Athletic, recently relegated from the Championship, provide Neil Harris and his Millwall side with their shortest away day in 2016/17 - a round trip of just 12 miles. Millwall's journey to and from AFC Wimbledon is just 27 miles, followed by Gillingham (64) and Southend (80).
At the other end of the scale, Fleetwood's Highbury Stadium is a huge 532-mile round trip, with Bury (482), Bolton (476), Oldham and Rochdale (both 468) all providing lengthy away day journeys.
Millwall's full fixture list for the 2016/17 campaign will be released here on millwallfc.co.uk at 9am on Wednesday 22nd June.
