Millwall agree deal for Worrall

Winger to become first summer signing

Millwall Football Club is delighted to announce that a deal has been agreed to sign David Worrall.

The winger will officially join The Lions on 1st July following the expiration of his current deal with Southend United. Millwall's agreement with Worrall is a two-year contract with the option of an additional 12 months.

He made 84 appearances in two seasons for The Shrimpers, scoring nine times, and also played for Bury and Oldham amongst others earlier in his career.

The 26-year-old will become Millwall's first summer signing and Lions boss Neil Harris is looking forward to working with the energetic wideman.

"David carries the ball up the pitch well and has good delivery," he said.

"He adds something different to the team; the type of thing we saw a lot last season when we had Jed (Wallace) on loan.

"David has good experience of this division and played extremely well when I watched him last year. He comes with really good references on his character from people I know well.

"He has played right-wing for most of his career but has also played as an attacking option at right-back and a lot on the left-hand side.

"We're delighted to get him as there was a lot of competition for his signature."
