Striker Steve feeling positive
Steve Morison believes he and his Millwall team-mates are in a "good place" with a week of pre-season sessions already under their belts.
The Lions are currently in Portugal for a week-long training camp as preparations for this month's friendlies intensify.
All the hard work is geared towards ensuring Neil Harris' side are ready for the opening game of the season against Oldham Athletic on Saturday 6th August and Morison, who scored 19 goals last term, is confident that Lions fans will see more progression from Millwall in 2016/17.
"We've slotted straight back in as if we've not been away," he said.
"We have enjoyed the first couple of days and there is a long, tough week ahead of us. But we look forward to the hard work and embrace it.
"You can see in the tests that we've done there are some really good scores so we're in a positive position right now. It's only a month until we get started which is great.
"We had a lot of players who were new to it last year so they've come back with a season under their belts and hopefully you will see some progression in them. They will be more mature and those with more experience have to keep that consistency at where it was. With the new additions, which I think will make us a better team, we're in a good place."
