Defender Shaun is settling in well at The Den
Shaun Hutchinson may only be four weeks into his career at The Den after making the short switch from Fulham in the close season, but the Geordie defender is sure of one thing already - he is settling nicely in to his new life as a Lion. The 6ft 2in centre half has featured in two pre-season games so far at Bromley (2-1) and Crawley Town (3-2), but is looking forward to getting his first taste of playing for Millwall in front of The Den faithful this Saturday when Brentford are the opponents for Tony Craig's Testimonial.
"The hardest thing when you come to a new club is finding out the way that the gaffer wants you to play and learning what the right things to do are," said Shaun.
"I have played at The Den before and although it probably won't be bouncing in the same way that it will be for the first League game of the season against Oldham on 6th August, it's going to be great to get out there.
"Hopefully the fans turn out for TC and it's a good game.
"The first-half of our pre-season was hard as it's all about getting your legs going again, but now that a lot of the fitness work has been done, we've been working on a lot of things on the training ground.
"It's more about gearing ourselves for that first game of the season and making sure that we get off to a really good start."
Tickets for Tony Craig's Testimonial are on general sale priced at £10 adults, £5 over 60s and £5 U16s.
