Forde focused on helping Millwall climb the table

Irish keeper confident of winning run

David Forde is confident that he and his Millwall team-mates have what it takes to go on a run of form which would push them up into the Sky Bet League One Play-Off places.

The Lions are currently 10th in the table but do have a game in hand on sixth-placed Peterborough United, who are six points ahead of Neil Harris' men.

And Forde, who played a key role in the club's promotion to the Championship from League One in 2009/10, believes that backing from supporters will play an important part throughout the remaining 22 League games of this campaign.

"We're on the cusp at the moment," Forde said.

"I feel we will go on a good run but we need to do it very soon.

"If you look back to a few years ago when we did get promoted we were 20-odd points behind Leeds and we finished a point behind them, so it is possible. You have to use that experience and Tony Craig, Steve Morison and myself will be relaying that to the rest of the lads.

"There is still loads of football left and the key is not to panic, keep calm and remain focused. We need the encouragement and support from the fans."
