Charlton venue changed for today's Millwall U21s game

18 January 2016

Match switched from VCD Athletic to Sparrows Lane

Millwall U21s re-arranged Elite Development Squad League fixture against Charlton Athletic will now take place at the Addicks' Sparrows Lane training ground today.

The match was originally scheduled to be held at VCD Athletic, Crayford, but has been switched as the Oakwood pitch is unplayable. Today's game kicks-off at a slightly later time of 1.30pm.

The Lions will hope to close the gap on table-topping Charlton, who are currently seven points clear of Skinner's charges, but Millwall have two games in hand.

There is also a bit of a point to prove because when the two teams met in the original fixture at Sparrows Lane at the end of August the match was abandoned at half-time due to a waterlogged pitch with Millwall leading 1-0 through a Mahlon Romeo goal.

Today's match promises to be a mouthwatering affair with both teams enjoying remarkable runs of form - Charlton have won 12 of their last 14 games and are unbeaten since the end of September whilst Millwall secured seven successive victories until Cardiff City secured a 1-1 draw last time out to steal a late point.
