'Outstanding' Morison earns praise from Rochdale boss

Millwall striker Steve a hot topic at Spotland

Rochdale manager Keith Hill called Steve Morison 'outstanding' after his side's 1-0 defeat to Millwall on Saturday.

Lions forward Morison was his usual all-action and committed self as he and his team-mates battled to another hard-fought away win at Spotland.

And Hill, speaking to the media after the full-time whistle, was full of praise both for Morison and Millwall.

"They're a good side," he told the BBC. "If you look at the squad there is quality in there, know-how and promotion-winning players.

"They remind me a little bit of Preston last season in that they are very resilient and put us in a sleeper once they got the one goal advantage.

"If you look at Morison up front, his game knowledge and the way he plays is outstanding at this standard. He portrays a winning attitude and application and he was defending corners and crosses exceptionally well."
