Millwall boss Harris looking for the 'right mix' at The Den

The Manager previews Saturday's visit of Peterborough United

Millwall boss Neil Harris says that his side need to get the 'right mix' in their performances at The Den.

The Lions lost 2-0 to Scunthorpe United in SE16 on Tuesday night - a first League defeat in seven games - and host Play-Off rivals Peterborough United this Saturday (3pm).

Lions fans are eager to see Millwall replicate their impressive away form at The Den and Lions boss Chopper insists that the players are working hard to improve in that regard.

Speaking in his programme notes ahead of Saturday's game, Harris says: "The players are striving for consistency, especially at home, and they are desperate to do well.

"What we clearly have to do is get the right mix between showing an urgency and determination in our attacking play, and being calm and methodical enough to get the ball into the right areas.

"Even in Tuesday night's display there were positives, and we have to build on those whilst learning from our mistakes as we take on a Peterborough team full of flair and attacking potential. We must defend diligently, be competitive and pose a real threat going forward, as we have done in the majority of games recently.

"What we must not lose focus of is the fact that we currently find ourselves sixth in a very competitive League with a team that is still very much a work in progress. This group is working tirelessly to improve, and it is happening. My job as manager is to help them continue to do so, especially the younger players who still have much to learn. I want them to develop, become stronger characters and ultimately play with freedom and passion here at The Den."
