If the name Fitz....

4 February 2016

Scott Fitzgerald and Jed Wallace plus Player of the Month on Lions Live

Few would disagree that the recent crop of youngsters filtering through to the Millwall senior ranks has proven to be a valuable resource for Millwall boss Neil Harris. But the man initially responsible for moulding and mentoring these malleable young talents is Academy Director Scott Fitzgerald. "Fitz" was appointed to the role in 2007 and since then has been consistently turning out new generations of footballing talent to swell the Millwall ranks. Fitz will be in the Lions Live studio this evening to talk about life at the Academy.

Second on the bill is a winger who has provided a valuable new string to Neil Harris's bow this season. Winger Jed Wallace arrived on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers in early January and has recently signed a two-month extension to that loan period. Jed will be joining the Lions Live team to discuss his first month at The Den and his decision to stick around a while longer.

Both Scott and Jed will be open to questions so have your phones at the ready.

Lions Live Player of the Month
Also on tonight's show, it's that time of year when Lions Live listeners get to give a virtual pat-on-the-back to the one player they think has excelled over the last month. With The Lions re-discovering the form they showed earlier in the season, several players could be in the frame. Lee Gregory may be your choice, adding 5 goals to his season's tally, over the period, while Millwall stalwart Jimmy Abdou who has recently notched up his 300th senior appearance for the club, could be a strong contender.

The lucky supporter who correctly nominates his or her Lions Live Player of the Month for January will win two tickets for Millwall's next home game, plus the opportunity to present the trophy to the winning player on the pitch before the game. There is still time to vote so send your nominations to
