Millwall boss delighted after Boxing Day success over Swindon
There was plenty of festive cheer for Lions manager Neil Harris, who declared himself "very happy" after watching Lee Gregory score two goals - his first in six games - and Millwall record only their fourth clean sheet in the League this season with a 2-0 Boxing Day win against Swindon.
Gregory crowned a tireless display by scoring a goal in each half to help move The Lions up to ninth in the table, and set up a mouthwatering clash against Gillingham at The Den this Friday. "I'm delighted for my players because as footballers you sacrifice a lot over the Christmas period," Chopper told
millwallfc.co.uk.
"That's two really good wins, but I just said to them there, 'Don't settle for that, take it into the Gillingham game'. That will be the toughest of the lot.
"We have conceded too many goals and not had enough clean sheets, but I couldn't fault them today; I thought we defended very, very well."
