Football fan to break stadium-visit record

21 December 2016

Ed Wood aims to visit every English League ground

A Derby County supporter may seem out of place at tonight's South London derby, but Ed Wood will be attending the match for a very good cause.

The football fan from Leeds is out to break the Guinness World record for attending a match at every English League ground in the shortest time, currently set at 237 days.

Taking four months off work to visit 93 grounds may sound like a football fan's dream, but the real reason behind Wood's journey is to raise vital funds for Prostate Cancer Research.

"The main reason I chose to support Prostate Cancer UK is their partnership with the English Football League over the last few years," he said.

"You see managers and players wearing the pin-badges and it makes you start to think about all the men affected by the disease."

Wood hopes to raise £50,000 by the end of his journey. You can donate to his JustGiving page here:
