The latest from both camps
Neil Harris has revealed that summer signing Shaun Hutchinson will be given every chance to prove his fitness ahead of Millwall's 2016/17 season opener against Oldham Athletic at The Den on Saturday (3pm).
The defender limped off during the early part of last weekend's visit of Brentford and will be assessed leading into the visit of The Latics.
Ben Thompson also came off during Tony Craig's Testimonial but the midfielder made a return to training on Tuesday and, barring any potential set-backs, is likely to be involved against Steve Robinson's side.
Joe Martin made only his first appearance of pre-season in last Monday's friendly against Welling so this weekend's game is likely to come too soon for the left-back, who may well need more match minutes before he returns to the first team starting line-up.
Shaun Cummings remains absent with a long-term injury but the defender, according to Harris, is expected to return to training during the course of the next month or so.
Oldham's team will have a very different look to the one which was beaten 3-0 by The Lions in SE16 back in April.
New boss Robinson has been very busy re-shaping his squad ahead of the new campaign with midfielder Ousmane Fane, from Kidderminster Harriers, becoming his latest signing.
Other new recruits include experienced defender Peter Clarke, who has been handed the captain's armband, as well as Paul Green, Ollie Banks, Cameron Burgess, Ryan Flynn, Marc Klok, Billy Mckay and many others.
