Lions add backing for sixth successive year
Millwall FC are delighted to announce that for the sixth successive year we are supporting the military charity Tickets For Troops, the initiative donating tickets for home fixtures at The Den this season.
Tickets For Troops, which provides free tickets for sporting, musical and theatrical events to members of the Armed Forces, was established in 2009 and has since enjoyed an excellent partnership with a number of Football League clubs providing thousands of football tickets to service personnel.
Last season, over 30,000 tickets were donated by Football League clubs with over 8,000 coming from League One alone.
Lions players Ben Thompson, Tom King, Tony Craig and David Worrall were only too pleased to show their support by holding the Tickets For Troops banner for an official photograph moments after Millwall CEO Andy Ambler confirmed: "We are delighted to continue showing our support for Tickets for Troops.
"This is the sixth consecutive season that we have extended our support to Tickets For Troops. As a club we are extremely proud of the support we give to our Armed Forces who do amazing work for which all of us at Millwall remain very grateful."
Tickets For Troops Operations Manager, Ross Barden said: "We just want to say a big 'Thankyou' to Millwall FC for its continued support of the work we are doing.
"The men and women of Her Majesty's Armed Forces are doing such an extraordinary job during these difficult times and it is fantastic that the club are showing their support and appreciation in such a generous way again."
