Lions looking to build early momentum

Millwall will look to get their season off to the perfect start with victory over Oldham Athletic at The Den on Saturday (3pm).

The Lions go into the game on the back of friendly victories over Bromley, Dartford and Crawley, as well as a draw against Brentford in Tony Craig's Testimonial game last weekend.

Summer signings David Worrall, Gregg Wylde and Shaun Hutchinson have all been involved in those fixtures, though the latter is having a hamstring injury assessed in the build-up to Saturday's visit of The Latics.

Steve Robinson became Oldham boss in early July and his side will be somewhat of an unknown quantity in SE16 this weekend after a near complete squad overhaul since his appointment.

A long list of players have arrived at Park over the past few days and weeks, including new skipper Peter Clarke, while the loan signing of Billy Mckay from Wigan has added some firepower to the club's forward line.

Millwall are 8/13 on with Sky Bet to win Saturday's game while Oldham are available at odds of 17/4 to earn all three points.

Lions strike duo Steve Morison and Lee Gregory are joint 7/2 favourites to open the scoring while Latics forward Mckay (17/2) is most likely to find the net first for the visitors according to Sky Bet.

Don't forget that there is significant disruption if you are travelling by train to and from South Bermondsey with no service on Saturday. Full details here.

All the action will be covered with full match commentary on Lions PlayerHD from 2.50pm with updates also available on the club's official Twitter account @MillwallFC.
