'I can't claim the goal' says Lions skipper Tony Craig

Tony Craig has admitted that as much as he would like to claim Millwall's opening goal at Stadium MK on Saturday - it's one that the record books will show differently.

Craig's powerful header from a David Worrall corner bounced and bobbled around a bit before former Lions midfielder Ed Upson got the final contact, although there was little he could do to get out of the way, touching the ball past MK Dons keeper David Martin.

Worrall then turned from provider to scorer, bagging his first goal in a Millwall shirt before a quick-fire double from debutant Kieran Agard hauled the home side level.

"There were four or five deflections on the ball before it went over the line," Lions skipper TC told the assembled press after Saturday's game, "So as much as I would like to claim it, I can't! It was unfortunate for Ed, who is a mate, because he played very well."

Speaking to the Milton Keynes Citizen, Dons boss Karl Robinson said that he felt his side looked nervous against Millwall, despite clawing back a 2-0 deficit.

He told the paper: "I thought in the first half we were by far the better team. Their goal came against the run of play, and then they hit us with another sucker blow. But we quickly got back into our stride.

"The first goal was disappointing for us. It ricocheted off Ed Upson which took it away from Nicky who couldn't clear it. Then for the second goal we got overloaded, we had to shuffle across. It was disappointing, but we've worked on it and at half time they knew what they'd done wrong.

"In the second half, they were the better team and we looked really nervous. We should have had the energy and the legs.

"Millwall were favourites, and they're second favourites to win the league. This is their best team. I've still got four players out and two more I want to bring in.

"To come back from behind against a very good Millwall side is a very good result for me."
