Harris and Fitzgerald take part in Fans' Forum

4 August 2016

A range of different topics covered at The Den

Millwall boss Neil Harris and Academy Director Scott Fitzgerald answered questions from supporters at The Den on Thursday as part of the MSC's annual Fans' Forum.

A long list of areas and subjects were touched upon throughout the evening, with Harris quickly addressing recent transfer speculation about one of his players. The Lions manager talked about the new loan system both in terms of potential future incomings and outgoings, as well as the influence of agents and social media on the modern game. Harris also revealed that Jordan Archer will wear the number one shirt this season and that the club are in discussions with the Millwall goalkeeper about a new, long-term contract.

Fitzgerald provided updates on the progress of the club's Academy set-up with plenty of interest shown in who could be the next players to break into the senior squad just like how Ben Thompson, Sid Nelson, Fred Onyedinma and Aiden O'Brien - amongst others - have done in recent seasons.

A full written review of this year's Fans' Forum will be made available on the MSC website soon.
