Victory at Ipswich will secure Millwall U21s a Play-Off spot

25 April 2016

Young Lions one win away fromclinching top two place

Millwall U21s head to Ipswich Town this afternoon knowing that victory at Playford Road will confirm their place in the Professional Development League 2 Play-Offs.

Justin Skinner's charges are currently second in the table following last week's 0-0 draw at Sheffield Wednesday and Cardiff City's surprise 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield. The young Lions sit one place ahead of the Bluebirds - who are in action at home to Crystal Palace this evening - in the final game of the season.

Victory for Millwall against Ipswich would ensure runners-up spot to Charlton and book a Play-Off spot in what has been a superb campaign for the team.

Boss Skinner has some added experience in the shape of senior players including David Forde, Ed Upson and Carlos Edwards to complement promising youngsters such as James Brown (pictured), Kyron Farrell and Lewis White.

Ipswich U21s, managed by former Lions favourite Mark Kennedy, could include Teddy Bishop, who came on as a sub for the first team at Middlesbrough on Saturday, alongside the likes of Andre Dozzell, Adam McDonnell, Myles Kenlock and Josh Emmanuel.

Millwall: Forde, Girling, Edwards, Nelson, Mbulu, Brown, Bray, Chesmain, Twardek, Upson, Farrell, Wisson, Donovan, White, Philpot, Leighton.
