Millwall can secure their place in the Sky Bet League One Play-Offs with a positive result against Oldham Athletic at The Den on Saturday (3pm).

The Lions need just one point to consolidate their position in the top six but Neil Harris is looking for his side to continue their impressive home form with another victory in SE16.

Saturday's game promises to be a tough encounter, though, as John Sheridan's Oldham arrive at The Den on the back of five wins from their last seven games - a run of form which has seen them secure their League One status for another season.

What the managers say

Neil Harris: "It's a massive game for us and we're really up for it. We want to carry on building momentum and confidence but it's going to be a tough one against an Oldham side that has been on a fantastic run under a new manager. They will be a completely different proposition to what we faced around the Christmas period." Read much more from Harris ahead of the game by clicking here.

John Sheridan: "We're going there knowing we are safe so it gives us a bit of freedom and we can test ourselves against a really good team. I think Neil Harris has done an excellent job there and it's his first job so full credit to him." Lions team news

Millwall will once again be without midfielder Shaun Williams, who serves the final game of a three-match suspension.

Shane Ferguson has missed the last two fixtures with a thigh strain and Harris has said that the Northern Ireland international will be given every opportunity to prove his fitness ahead of kick-off.

Also absent at Gigg Lane last time out was top scorer Lee Gregory, who is yet to return to training, so Harris will make a "last-minute call" on the striker.

Elsewhere, the Lions boss has rated Steve Morison as "touch and go" for this weekend's clash at The Den, while Shaun Cummings remains a long-term absentee.

Head-to-head

Saturday's match will be the 64th meeting between Millwall and Oldham in all competitions.

It is The Lions who hold the head-to-head advantage having won 26 of the previous 63 fixtures compared with 17 for The Latics. The remaining 20 games ended in draws.

Millwall have been victorious in the last three meetings with Oldham, including a 2-1 win at SportsDirect.com Park back in January. Watch highlights from that game by clicking here.
