Young Lions head to Sheffield Wednesday determined to keep top two finish dream alive

Millwall U21s head to Sheffield Wednesday today determined to sustain their push for a Play-Off spot in the Professional Development League 2.

Justin Skinner's young charges have excelled this season and last week showed great spirit and energy levels to record two victories against Barnsley (4-2) and Colchester United (2-1) in the space of four days.

Manager Skinner takes his side into action in Yorkshire this afternoon knowing that whilst the League title is all but secured by Charlton, The Lions and Cardiff City are level on points with The Bluebirds currently holding second spot by virtue of a goal difference of just one.

The young Lions will be aiming to continue a solid run of results that has seen them lose just once in their last 18 League matches.

Skinner has named a travelling squad predominantly consisting of Academy players such as James Brown, Eze Ebuzomeme, Rian Bray and Harry Girling.

The full squad, including two trialists, is as follows: Girling, Sandford, Brown, McNamara, Bray, Mbulu, Green, J.White, Chesmain, Wisson, Donovan, Ebuzoeme, L.White, Leighton, Francisco.
