Race hotting up for Professional Development League 2 Play-Off spot

Millwall U21s kept up their challenge for a top two finish in the Professional Development League 2 table with an excellent 2-1 win at Colchester United on Thursday afternoon.

Goals from Kyron Farrell (penalty) and trialist Adam Edgar did the damage to keep Justin Skinner's charges hot on the heels of table-topping Charlton, and level on points with second-placed Cardiff City with just two games to go.

Venues and times for The Lions last two matches have now been confirmed with Millwall facing Sheffield Wednesday this coming Monday, 18th April, at The Owls' training ground (2pm). They then wrap up the League campaign with a trip to Ipswich on Monday 25th April (1pm). This match will be played at Town's Playford Training Centre.

The Professional Development League 2 is split into a Northern and Southern League and the team that finishes second in the Southern League will play in a Semi-Final against the team that finishes top in the Northern Division. The runner-up in the Northern League faces the side who finish top in the Southern League.

The winners of both these matches will then meet in the Final.
