Millwall boss full of praise following young striker's first ever senior trebleMillwall manager Neil Harris was full of praise for young striker Aiden O'Brien after the 21-year-old netted his first senior hat-trick at Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.
Chopper, who oversaw back-to-back wins for the first time this season, said: "He is a very talented young player and we have missed him in the early part of the season. It was an excellent hat-trick and quite rightly he will get all the headlines.
"However, I also felt that it was a very good team performance. Over the last 10 days or so we have been working on our defensive shape and linking with the midfield and I felt there was evidence of that today.
"Jordan Archer made some important saves for us at vital times and I thought Jimmy (Abdou) and Shaun (Williams) managed the game well in midfield.
"We now have another important match on Tuesday night at Port Vale and hopefully we can carry on where we left off today. There have already been plenty of ups and downs this season and I'm sure there will be more to come but there is a spirit and growing confidence amongst this group of players which convinces me that we are moving in the right direction now."
