August 2015 Lions Live Player of the Month

3 September 2015

Onine voting closes at 5pm tonight

Voting for the Lions Live Player of the Month Award in August is well underway - but you still have plenty of time to cast your vote.

The month of August started promisingly for Millwall, who opened the new League One campaign with a 2-1 win at Shrewsbury Town thanks to goals from Steve Morison and Lee Gregory. Teenage winger Fred Onyedinma had a hand in both, and has quickly established himself as a favourite with Lions fans.

After an encouraging start, Millwall were knocked out of the Capital One Cup by Barnet and found that home hoodoo difficult to shake off. A run of four successive defeats at The Den was punctuated only by a hard-fought 0-0 draw at Scunthorpe in a game that saw debutant goalkeeper Jordan Archer make a string of excellent saves, and the back four of Shaun Cummings, Tony Craig, Sid Nelson and Mark Beevers help keep a first clean sheet of the campaign.

The month of August also saw young midfielder Ben Thompson make his senior debut and go on to appear a further three times for the first team.

These are just some of the possible contenders, but perhaps your mind is made up and it is another Lions player who will get your vote.

You can vote by clicking here until 5pm today or alternatively you can phone your vote in tonight's show and be entered into a prize draw.

The lucky winner of this will then get to present the winning player their award pitch side at The Den. Please note however that voting online does not gain entry to the prize draw.
