Lions coming up against non-league opposition in SE16

Millwall have been drawn at home to AFC Fylde in the Emirates FA Cup First Round.

Nicknamed The Coasters, AFC Fylde play in the National North division, where they currently sit top of the table having won nine of their first 13 games this season. They beat Barrow 1-0 over the weekend to reach this stage of the competition.

"We're delighted to be at home," Lions boss Neil Harris told millwallfc.co.uk.

"It is always exciting to watch the draw and I know the fans will be pleased to see us play a team we haven't met before.

"They are in really good form so we are in no doubt that it will prove to be a big test for us.

"What we have to do is approach the game with the utmost professionalism to ensure that it doesn't turn out to be any sort of banana skin for us."

The First Round tie, which marks the first-ever meeting between the two sides, will be played between 6th and 9th November. More information, including a confirmed date and ticket details, will be announced once finalised.
