Lions Live Player of the Month - voting closes at 5pm tomorrow

14 October 2015

You decide who is going to win the trophy for September

No, its not Strictly, and it's not The X Factor. Nor is it the nominations for the next Mayor of London.

Voting is, however, now open for the Lions Live Player of the Month award for September, sponsored by Bexley Steel.

After a mixed run of results in the opening month of the season, September heralded the green shoots of recovery for Chopper and the boys and as a result has produced a plethora of candidates for this month's accolade.

With four wins out of six for The Lions - including a welcome first home League One victory against Rochdale - Lions Live listeners face a tough time deciding who their vote is going to go to.

Aiden O'Brien's first senior hat-trick away at Crewe, plus a hatful of assists, clearly puts him in the frame, whilst Steve Morison, who found the back of the net in Millwall's 3-1 win against Rochdale, has repeatedly impressed with his hard work and consistency.

Millwall's strike force have been redressing the recent goal-drought at home and away, but at the other end of the pitch keeper Jordan Archer has been been equally impressive in keeping the ball out of the net with a number of top saves.

Other members of the defence have also been instrumental in the current run of good form. Perhaps the hard work and cool head of Carlos Edwards has caught your eye or the consistency of Mark Beevers, who scored crucial goals in September at Port Vale and Wigan Athletic.

Maybe you already know who is going to get your vote for this month's award - either way, voting is now open so please click here to cast yours. Online votes are open until 5pm on Thursday 15th October.
