Best of the match action from London Road

Millwall slipped to a first defeat on the road this season as Peterborough United eventually won 5-3 in an end-to-end encounter at London Road on Saturday afternoon.

In a match high on goalmouth action but low on defensive cohesion, Neil Harris' charges twice had to reshuffle after losing key players at vital stages of the game.

Midfield pair Jimmy Abdou (4mins) and Ed Upson (61mins) were both forced off the field with the score at 0-0 and 2-2 respectively, and twice Posh capitalised with quick-fire double strikes.

Defeat was a desperately disappointing pill for the 1,4000 travelling fans to swallow on an afternoon that ironically saw three of The Lions outfield defenders get on the scoresheet.

The best of the action is included in our special gallery above.
