Steve Morison: We want to keep our run going

Millwall striker determined to avoid FA Cup upset against AFC Fylde

Steve Morison has been a revelation since re-joining Millwall for his third spell at the club in the summer, and a key factor in helping the team rediscover their winning form at The Den.

Striker Moro was nicknamed 'The Shift' at former club Leeds United, and Lions fans have certainly witnessed that effort - and a whole lot more including five goals - as the frontman has proved pivotal in a fine run that has seen Neil Harris' charges beaten just twice in 13 games.

Millwall are now unbeaten in six matches in a run that includes four wins and two draws, and Moro is determined to ensure that there is no Cup upset at the hands of non-League AFC Fylde in this Saturday's Emirates FA Cup First Round tie.

However the frontman is well aware of the threat posed by Dave Challinor's side who are currently riding on the crest of a fabulous run that has seen the Vanarama National League North team win 10 of their last 13 matches.

"I know what it is like," Moro told millwallfc.co.uk "I was at Bishop Stortford for a while earlier in my career.

"They will come here on Saturday and put on the performance of their lives. We need to be professional, do our work like we normally do and then we should be alright.

"We have come a long way since August and our confidence has grown because of the performances and results we have been getting, so long may that continue.

"We want to keep our run going and will have to continue to work hard  to do that."
