EDS boss Justin full of praise as The Lions progress in the League Cup
Justin Skinner declared himself "delighted" with Millwall's U21 side following their last-gasp extra-time win over Swansea City on Monday night - a result which books the club's place in the next round of the Premier League Cup.
Mikael Ndjoli - one of several players under 18-years-old in the matchday squad - completed a brace in the 120th minute to provoke joyous scenes in the away dugout and secure a 2-1 victory.
Keston Davies had given the hosts a 1-0 lead a minute into first-half stoppage time but the young Lions hit back early on in the second period when Ndjoli made the most of a mix-up in the Swansea defence to equalise with his first of the night.
Swansea then couldn't find a way through a resolute Millwall defence and it was his side's "character and belief" which pleased Skinner most.
"I'm delighted with the boys because they put in a big, big effort tonight," he told millwallfc.co.uk.
"We've had a series of really good performances so far this season but to go to Swansea, defend so well, score two goals and ultimately get the win shows the level of character and belief in the group at the moment and that is extremely encouraging.
"We had a young team tonight but everybody played a significant role in the match and the lads are excited now to be playing in the next round."
