Neil Harris: Fans will get a better performance

26 November 2015

Millwall manager promises that there will be no repeat of Fleetwood defeat

Manager Neil Harris could not hide his disappointment following his side's below-par performance at Fleetwood on Tuesday night - and has vowed that the 500+ Lions fans who made the long midweek trip, along with the rest of The Den faithful, will be repaid with an improved display on Saturday when Millwall host Bury (3pm).

"Saturday is a big game for us and we are focused on it. We have had one defeat in 10 games and have been really good. You don't become a bad team over one game, or 45 minutes of football.

"We were beaten by the better team on Tuesday night, we were second best. Ultimately we got beaten in 25 minutes of football at the end of the game - and that's the first time I can probably say that over the last 10 games so it is not all doom and gloom.

"The fans that came up to support us on Tuesday were brilliant. They didn't see us at our best and it's a shame for them and a shame for us because they came in their numbers and supported their team.

"There is a big 'thank you' from me and my players for that support and we are determined to give you a better performance on Saturday."
