Shirts to be auctioned in support of the Royal British Legion
The Lions will run out for Saturday's Emirates FA Cup First Round tie against AFC Fylde wearing specially commissioned shirts featuring a poppy prominently on the front as Millwall continue their focus on Remembrance weekend. The shirts will then be auctioned off with the proceeds being donated to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
At last Saturday's League One clash with Bradford City, Millwall supporters donated £2,247.43 when a bucket collection for the Poppy Appeal was held at The Den.
As always, Lions fans dug deep to show their appreciation and support of those who have served, and continue to serve, our country in the armed forces. As the British Legion so succinctly puts, it is 'To the memory of the fallen and the future of the living'.
The money raised by this annual collection nationwide helps provide care and facilities for those who have paid a heavy price in the line of duty.
