The generosity of Lions supporters remains first class
Millwall supporters donated a superb £2,247.43 in just two hours when a bucket collection for the Poppy Appeal was held at The Den on Saturday prior to the home game with Bradford City.Members of the Royal British Legion and their helpers, many of whom are Lions fans, shook their buckets and distributed poppies ahead of Remembrance Day on Wednesday 11th November.
As always, Lions fans dug deep to show their appreciation and support of those who have served, and continue to serve, our country in the armed forces. As the British Legion so succinctly puts, it is 'To the memory of the fallen and the future of the living'.
The money raised by this annual collection nationwide helps provide care and facilities for those who have paid a heavy price in the line of duty.
