Lions joint U18s coach looks ahead to tonight's Den encounter

Millwall's youngsters hit the FA Youth Cup glory trail at home to Woodbridge Town this evening with joint coaches Larry McAvoy and David Connolly determined to book a place in Round Three of the competition.

On paper The Lions, who knocked out Dover Athletic 2-0 in the First Round, should be favourites against their non-League opponents. However, Woodbridge have already shown that they will be no push-over having upset the odds in the previous round by knocking out Dagenham & Redbridge.

"There is a wonderful game on offer here tonight," said Millwall U18s joint coach David, ahead of this evening's Den encounter (7pm).

"Both teams have the big incentive of reaching the next round of the FA Youth Cup and we are expecting a cracking game against a team who put four goals past League opposition in the last round.

"Obviously this in another opportunity for the boys to play here at The Den, which is a great experience. The boys are in good form after a very good performance and win against Crystal Palace U18s nine days ago.

"We have had a good week's training and are very much looking forward to another great occasion against Woodbridge in front of their family and friends."

Connolly and McAvoy are able to call on the likes of Noah Chesmain, Ebere Eze and James Brown, who have all featured for the U21s this season.

The Lions squad also includes recent signing from Arsenal Harry Donovan, plus goalkeeper Harry Girling, who has been on the bench three times for Millwall's first team this season in the JPT games against Peterborough United, Northampton Town and most recently Plymouth Argyle.

Tickets are on general sale in the Executive Area only, priced at £5 adults and £1 U16s and are available to buy from the Milwall ticket office up until kick-off tonight.

Squad: Harry Girling, James Brown, Noah Chesmain, James White, Rian Bray, Ryan Green, Matt Campbell-Mhlope, Alexander Mulrooney-Skinner, Eze Ebuzoeme, Ebere Eze, Harry Donovan, Mikael Ndjoli, Noel Leighton, Lewis White, James Fitzgerald.
