All your Lions favourites in action against Heart4More Foundation XI
Former Republic of Ireland international Kenny Cunningham and former Lions left-back Scott Barron are the latest additions to a Millwall Legends XI that will take on the Heart4More Foundation XI at The Den on Tuesday 5th May (6pm).
The purpose of the game is to highlight the work Heart4More Foundation, the charity set up by former Millwall youngster Tobi Alabi, do in regard to raising awareness of cardiac health issues in the community for both young and old.
On the night Neil Harris and Gary Alexander - that formidable forward pair of years gone by - will also link up for the match, where all funds raised will be used to actively carry out the various community based initiatives that Heart4More already do nationwide.
The Legends squad includes several of Millwall's 2001 promotion winners and 2004 FA Cup Finalists, with the following already pencilled in to play: Tony Warner, Scott Barron, Kenny Cunningham, Robbie Ryan, Stuart Nethercott, Matt Lawrence, Neil Harris, Dave Livermore, Danny Hockton and Gary Alexander.
Heart4More Foundation's XI consists of a more youthful looking side with young professional players such as Zak Ansah, Jordan Cousins, Jeffrey Monakana and former Lion Shaun Batt set to be included.
Player/Manager Alabi also has an experienced head in his side, retired Scottish international and ex-Wolves/Stoke striker Chris Iwelumo. Soccer AM's Bobbie Chahal is sure to provide a safe pair of hands between the stick.
Turnstiles will open at 5pm with the game kicking off at 6pm.
