Jimmy Abdou is a hat-trick hero!
"I am very surprised but also very honoured," said Jimmy, who joins an elite group of players to have won the Player of the Year award more than once. "It is so humbling to have had such wonderful support from everyone at the club. I am very happy."
Hugely popular midfielder Jimmy not only picked up the Player of the Year award voted for by Lions fans, but also won the Community Ambassador of the Year trophy and completed a treble when his memorable header against Wigan Athletic was voted Millwall's Goal of the Season.
Jimmy Abdou had three reasons to be cheerful after sweeping the board with a hat-trick of trophies at Millwall's 2014/15 End of Season Dinner at The Den on Sunday night.
John Berylson flew over from America to attend the annual get together and revealed that the first-ever Chairman's Unsung Hero award was going to Stadium Manager Colin Sayer, who has been a key figure behind-the-scenes at The Den, both old and new.
On a more serious note both the Chairman and manager addressed the guests, spelling out their determination and genuine belief that the future can, and will be, brighter than it has been for some considerable time.
There were plenty of laughs along the way with Lions legends Brian Horne and Jimmy Carter proving to be comedy gold as they compered the auction, enlisting the services of Jimmy, Aiden O'Brien, Billy Neil, a quartet of Millwall Lionesses' players and Chopper at various points to help out.
