Gregory: Chopper has renewed my confidence

Striker Lee aims to finish season on a high

Lee Gregory has thanked Neil Harris for injecting fresh confidence and renewed belief following his appointment as interim manager three games ago.

Striker Lee was on target at Brentford on Saturday as The Lions kept alive their slim hopes of Championship survival with a 2-2 draw, taking his tally to six goals in his first season at the club.

Although on paper it looks a tall order to avoid the drop to League One with Millwall needing to make up an eight point deficit in just seven games, if anyone can, The Lions can and Lee is determined to try and play his part in pulling off a miracle.

"The past few games since Chopper took over has given me a huge amount of confidence," Lee said. "He keeps telling me how much he believes in me and that has helped a lot.

"I'm looking forward to every game at the minute and I'm enjoying my football. Chopper is doing very well, he is treating everyone the same and the lads know where they stand. There is a good morale in the team at the minute.

"He has changed the style of play straight away and has stuck by that after three games, with another seven to go. It keeps me busy all the time and I know that the ball is going to come to me much more.

"I want to finish the season on a massive high, my confidence is back to where it was when I first came here and I'm really enjoying my football."
