Framps: The Guv'nor on Lions Live tonight

19 March 2015

Lions legend Andy guests on this evening's show

"I was not the most skilful player or the quickest, but I played with my heart and every challenge and every pass meant the world to me."

Those words were spoken by former Millwall favourite Andy Frampton, who last week called time on his career as a professional footballer.

Defender Andy joined The Lions from Brentford in the summer of 2007, and after a testing start to his career at The Den won over the fans to such an extent that the following season he was overwhelmingly voted Millwall's Player of the Year. He spent four years at The Den before having spells with Leyton Orient, Swindon, Gillingham and latterly, AFC Wimbledon.

Framps, who featured heavily in Michael Calvin's award-winning book 'Family' in which he was referred to as one of the club's 'Guv'nors', is a welcome guest on tonight's Lions Live show, brought to you direct from The Den between 7 - 9pm.

The popular player will be looking back over his career that spanned seven clubs and 17 years, and will no doubt talk about that magical day in May 2010 when he produced a vintage display against Swindon, having just returned from a lengthy spell sidelined to replace the injured Tony Craig just before half-time.

Ironically TC, now at Brentford, will be facing his former Lions team-mates this Saturday in a crunch London derby at Griffin Park.

Whilst Framps takes a trip down memory lane, current Millwall right-back Shaun Cummings will be joining the Lions Live team tonight looking forward to this weekend's big game.

Shaun, a January signing from Reading, has not appeared on Lions Live before so this is a great opportunity to get your questions in to him as he makes his debut and also send good luck messages ahead of the Brentford game. Shaun will be talking about how he is settling in at The Den, how he feels ahead of the Brentford game and the mood in The Lions camp with eight games to go in the scrap for Championship survival.
