2014/15 Player of the Year commits his future to The LionsMidfielder Jimmy Abdou has this afternoon penned a new two-year contract that will keep him at The Den until the summer of 2017.
Reigning Player of the Year Jimmy - one of an elite group of players to have won the award twice - was the model of consistency for Millwall during a difficult 2014/15 campaign, making 37 appearances and scoring one goal.
First signed by Kenny Jackett in July 2008, Jimmy quickly established himself as a fans favourite, building on a strong debut season and emerging as a key figure in the middle of the park.
His ability to break up play, energy and commitment are key facets of his game and towards the end of last season Jimmy clearly relished the license he was given to get forward more - bagging a spectacular diving header against Wigan which was later voted Goal of the Season by Lions fans.
In all, the 30-year-old has made 284 appearances for Millwall and scored seven goals.
