Lions boss Neil Harris increases defensive options

Millwall are set to sign goalkeeper Jordan Archer on a two-year deal, along with left back Joe Martin on a one-year contract.

Scottish U21 international Archer initially joined The Lions on loan from Spurs in February and spent the latter part of last season as back up to David Forde.

Having previously gained League experience during loan spells at Wycombe (29 apps) and Northampton (16 apps), the 22-year-old will be looking to establish himself as a contender for the number one spot at The Den.

Experienced defender Martin, 26, also began his career at White Hart Lane before making his League debut, initially during a loan spell at Blackpool. He went on to sign permanently for the Tangerines, appearing 26 times in total.

He joined Gillingham in 2010, playing 179 times for the Kent club, scoring eight goals.

Both players are set to link up with the Millwall squad for the first time when they report back for pre-season training later on Thursday this week.
