Lions players look refreshed and raring to go

The players - some of whom had already been in over the summer - looked refreshed and raring to go as they arrived at the training ground.

Millwall's first team squad returned from their summer break on Thursday morning with manager Neil Harris at the helm for the start of his first ever pre-season in charge of The Lions.

New signing Joe Martin got a chance to meet his new team-mates for the first time after completing a move from Gillingham, whilst fellow new recruit Jordan Archer reacquainted himself with the squad, having joined Millwall on a permanent basis following a loan spell at the end of last season.

After catching up over a bite to eat for breakfast, Chopper addressed the squad as he succinctly spelt out his thoughts and expectations about the coming campaign.
The players then underwent a series of demanding fitness tests with Carlos Edwards, in particular, receiving great vocal encouragement from his team-mates.
