Midfielder Jimmy looks forward to working with Neil Harris
Jimmy Abdou has spoken of his delight after agreeing a new contract that extends the popular midfielder's stay at The Den until 2017 - nine years after first signing for the club.
The 30-year-old, a mainstay in Neil Harris' team last season, penned a two-year deal on Monday afternoon and spoke to millwallfc.co.uk shortly afterwards.
"I'm happy to sign a new contract for Millwall," said Jimmy. "I have been here for a long time. Me and my family are really pleased to get it sorted out and I can focus on the new season."
Jimmy, who has just returned from international duty with Comoros, is very much looking forward to the 2015/16 campaign, with the League One fixtures scheduled for release at 9am here on millwallfc.co.uk
"We saw at the end of last season how the fans were really behind us and everyone is ready now," he added. "We want to push forward and see how we get on.
"I have a good relationship with Neil Harris and am looking forward to continue working with him."
