Join Millwall at Lewisham People's Day

10 July 2015

Plenty of fun and food for all the family!

It's been a busy week for Millwall Football Club and the Community Trust, who follow up last weekend's Bermondsey Carnival with a trip to Lewisham People's Day at Mountsfield Park in Catford this Saturday, 11th July.

The event kicks off at 12noon and representatives from the Club and Community Trust will be on hand until 5pm, although People's Day continues with reggae star Tippa Irie the headline act to bring proceedings to a close at 8pm.

Any youngsters in attendance will be able to meet Zampa the Lion, pick up free 2014/15 match programmes and take part in lots of fun activities organised by coaching staff from the Community Trust.

The activities will include five-a-side football and the popular 'Millwall Challenge', which is the in
flatable football shooting target. Staff from the Millwall ticket office will be situated next to the iconic blue Routemaster bus on hand to process adult and Junior Lions memberships and season tickets.

There is plenty of fun for all the family with music - including steel bands, choirs and reggae favourite Tippa Irie - food, stalls and games. Why not come on down and join in!

Keep an eye out too, for our friends from the Save Lewisham Hospital campaign who will also have a stall at People's Day, with supporters on hand to explain why the campaign is still vital to helping protect essential services at Lewisham Hospital.
