Former skipper tells all
Our best wishes go to former Lions stalwart Alan Dunne as he embarks on the next stage of his playing career with Leyton Orient.Dunney spent some 23 years at Millwall - man and boy - and is set to release his autobiography in February of next year, entitled 'Dunne it the hard way.'
Written with the help of sports journalist and Millwall fan Chris Davies, it should make interesting reading as one of the great characters to have played for the club recalls some of his memorable and not so memorable exploits during nearly a quarter of a century at The Den (new and old).
He said: "During my time at Millwall there have been so many stories, so many amusing incidents etc and I decided I wanted to get them down while I can still remember them! I hope people will find the book interesting, and funny. There's a few anecdotes that you won't have heard before I'm sure.
Good luck to everyone at Millwall for the coming season and I'll look forward to seeing you again very soon."
