Lionesses drawn against Lowestoft

13 January 2015

FA Women's Cup Third Round draw details

Millwall Lionesses will face former FA Women's Cup holders Lowestoft Town Ladies after the two teams were paired in Round Three of this season's competition.
The Suffolk-based team are enjoying an excellent 2014-15 campaign, having won all seven of their opening League fixtures in the Eastern Region Women's Premier Division.

They progressed to Round Three courtesy of an impressive 2-1 home win over Luton Town Ladies on Sunday with Anna Larkins and Broghan Scully scoring second-half goals to overturn Luton's early lead.

Although the current Lowestoft team has only been playing competitively for four seasons, the club has a fine pedigree; having won the FA Women's Cup in 1982, 2-0 against Cleveland Spartans and finished as runners-up to Southampton in 1979.
Millwall's Third Round tie will be played on Sunday 1st February with venue and ticket details for the match to be confirmed shortly.
