Josh Wright leaves Millwall

5 January 2015

Midfielder free to join another club after contract cancellation

Millwall have cancelled the contract of Josh Wright which will enable the midfielder to negotiate a deal with another club.

Josh originally joined The Lions in 2011 and went on to make 53 senior appearances for the club scoring once - an eye-catching volley at Burnley that was voted 'Goal of the Season' in 2011/12.

Having struggled to hold down a regular place in the side, Josh has recently had two loan spells with Leyton Orient and one with Crawley Town.

The 25-year-old took to Twitter to say: "I have had three fantastic years at a proper football club that I will never forget. I can't thank the fans, the board, players and staff enough for the time I have spent there. It's something I'm truly proud to say that I played for Millwall and something I will never forget." Everyone at The Den wishes Josh the very best for the future.
