"He gives us something completely different," says the boss
Millwall manager Ian Holloway says he is 'delighted' that Stefan Maierhofer has rejoined the club.
The Austrian striker penned a deal until the end of the season on Friday and, should the move receive international clearance in time, could face Blackpool this weekend.
Maierhofer played a key role in the club's successful battle against the drop last season and boss Ollie is pleased to have the giant forward on board again.
"We have been working hard to get him back here so I'm delighted that the deal is done," he told millwallfc.co.uk.
"As we saw at the end of last season, Stefan gives us something completely different in terms of his presence up front so I'm glad that we now have a new option and some more choices.
"He came in late last year and made an impact in the run which helped us to stay up, but this time around we have longer to work together and I know how determined he is to get out there and play for Millwall.
"I'm pleased that we are making some progress in terms of bringing players in and also letting some others go. I've made no secret of the fact that we will continue to work hard throughout this window because this group needs some help to take it forward."
