Cummings looks ahead to Reading

26 January 2015

Right-back Shaun hopes to face former club

Shaun Cummings will hope to make his second Millwall appearance against former club Reading at The Den on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

The right-back, who made his Lions debut against Ipswich Town last time out, moved to SE16 earlier this month after five-and-a-half-years at the Madejski Stadium, but believes it won't be unusual coming up against his former team-mates so soon after departing.

Speaking in Issue 14 of The Lion, Shaun says: "I know everyone there really well because I was at the club for a number of years.

"But I'm here at Millwall now and my focus is on doing the job I need to do for my new club.

"I know the strengths of the Reading players but I am only one person in a team. I could give advice to my team-mates on what to look out for but, at the end of the day, we need to work as a unit if we are to get a positive result.

"I think we showed some positive signs against Ipswich and now it is all about improving and getting better game by game."
