Jimmy Abdou has returned to the middle of the park and been as reliable as ever whilst fellow midfielder Shaun Williams may only have played in the last two games of January, but his range of passing and composure on the ball remains a joy to watch. Striker Ricardo Fuller scored three goals in the last five games, including Saturday's winner at Nottingham Forest, to take his season's tally to six in total.
The likes of Shaun Cummings and Jos Hooiveld have helped shore up the defence, whilst the skill and flair of Diego Fabbrini has seen the Watford loanee become an instant hit with Lions fans.
However by the end of January there was a renewed air of optimism at The Den, and it was no coincidence that the upturn in form - a 0-0 draw against Reading and 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest - went hand on hand with the arrival of several new signings.
The start of 2015 wasn't the most memorable for The Lions, with defeats against Blackpool and Ipswich and an early FA Cup exit at Bradford City.
